Mayfair Farm

This weekend, we celebrated Father’s Day and my mother’s 60th birthday. Anderson and I went with his grammy and papa to visit a little slice of heaven today: Mayfair Farm in Harrisville, NH.  This sustainable farm has tons of treasures, such as a greenhouse full of veggies, orchards, strawberries (almost ready to pick!), piglets, cows, sheep, and today’s favorite by far: very free range chickens.  By free range, I mean they run wherever they please – as all chickens should.

We got to explore the whole farm.

Papa had a very happy Father’s Day!

This sheepdog loved his flock and Anderson.

We all really loved this place.

Happy Grammy!

The best part of the day was most definitely watching Anderson herd the chickens.  He giggled and squealed with glee for about 20 minutes while trying to get them to do what he wanted.

Huggies! (He really tried hard to score some hugs from these four chickens.)

We are definitely coming back to this place. It is Eden.

Just in case you are worried that Anderson scared the chickens…

They followed us, clearly bummed that we were leaving them.

They were not happy that we had to leave and followed us for quite a ways.

Happy, happy Father’s Day!  I hope you all found your own joy today and told the dads in your life that you love them. I’ll leave you with this photo of two napping cuties.

Loves of my life.

My family is awesome.

    • Thanks, Sarah! You would have loved it. It was a surreal place – and someday I hope to own a place like that! And you are part of my awesome family. 🙂

  2. Wonderful pictures! So great to see that you got to spend such a gorgeous day in a delightful place with the ones you love the most! 🙂

    • Thanks, Andrea! You would love the dinners they put on there – all food is from the farm (and sometimes a co-dinner with other nearby farms). Three cheers for local food! And happy animals…
